Completed in 2004, the hydraulic Rolling Bridge in London defies the standard drawbridge: It unfurls and rolls up to a circular structure to both allow pedestrians to cross an inlet behind Paddington Station, and accommodate passing boats. The studio drew inspiration from industrial and organic forms—and in particular, the animatronic dinosaurs featured in the 1993 film Jurassic Park.
