Dobrinski designed and crafted an industrial-style light fixture to suspend above the quartzite island. The fixture is 12 feet long and features wood doweling, copper fittings, and loosely strung pendants. The leather-upholstered bar chairs that pull up to the island are from West Elm.

Design elements like the stair’s brass handrail add a touch of glam to the home’s modern palette.

As you know, it can be a challenge hiding power cords in your home. Toldo’s answer to this problem? Turning the cord itself into a design object by making it a light.

Another Laviana design, the Teresa table lamp is made of recycled materials. Slits in the gourd-shaped shades gave them an otherworldly quality, like compressed jellyfish ready to propel themselves.

The Bellissima floor lamp by Ferruccio Laviani, a version of a previously released pendant by the same name, felt like a master class in scale. The stand is slight, but, if it’s hard to tell, the domes of these are about shoulder width, and can slide up and down to work in whichever part of the house you put one.

Kallista’s Black Argile stand-alone tub, a cast stone piece in a collection with a matching vessel sink and a shower head, is inspired by wood cuts and tooled clay. The soothing, scalloped exterior looks like rippling water.

The kitchen organically paves the way to the pantry area through the cabinets.

The center island purposefully features seating so that the family can hang out while preparing meals on the Bertazzoni Master Series range.

The one-time guest bedroom on the parlor level is now the kitchen, where one of the draws is the island, raised on a brushed stainless steel frame and legs.

The Cortez Natural Floating Dresser by Leanne Ford from Crate & Barrel was placed with a vintage chair and sconce from West Elm.

This view shows the new wood slat wall by the entry, as well as how Boudreau extended the bar for more function, reversing the color palette for the tile on the face below the quartz counter. The stools are from Saffron + Poe, and the Brass Pulley Pendants are by Lumens.
