2V HOUSE

The house is located near the city of Puerto Varas, in the south of Chile, a very humid and rainy region most of the year, in this context the work is located in a sector of a native forest area.

The place has the beauty and complexity of the forest foliage so that it did not have much light added to the climatological complexity, so it was immediately decided to have a criterion that there be “lanterns” in the main spaces of the house.

Its context also makes visual reference in its morphology to the two volcanoes that have the greatest visual presence in the area, the Osorno volcano and the Calbuco: one more stylized and the other more landscape.

Regarding the floor plan, a distribution was chosen with the least possible circulation in order to prioritize the rest of the spaces of the house in their spatial quality and budget economy.

Contrast and the search for warm tones were sought because the outside during the year is usually very cloudy and with little light.
