Just listed my Bauhaus style / MCM furnished home in Chicago's Northwest Suburbs of Prospect Heights. I've attached a couple pictures from the listing below. As you can see from the photos it is a very unusual home for Illinois.

The architect behind the design is Larry Mika, a rather obscure architect known for his work on Chicago skyscrapers. The home was built in sections over time spanning from the late 1960's up to the early 80's. It was designed to bring in large amounts of heat from a 3 story glass atrium in the middle and disperse it throughout the home, somewhat similar to a Kech + Kech design. The design was created for himself and his wife to both live and work out of their home. We've owned the home since 2014 and are very sad to be letting it go. We have poured our heart and soul into renovating this Bauhaus gem and hope Dwell subscribers can see it's beauty.
