Designed as a destination for a multi-generational family vacationing together at the family lakefront property, this guest house has all of the comforts of home away from home. From the open floor plan to the playful bunk room, this modernist tour de force has the essentials for gathering, dining and enjoying in style.
The entry experience is a visual transparency from exterior to interior — the composition of ribbed linear detailing, stone, stucco and expanses of glass greets upon arrival. The exterior stone transitions through to the interior and further enhances the connection to nature. A refined sense of luxury is embodied in the relaxed material palette, designed for gathering and recreation. Thoughtful attention was given to the lighting plan — the flat ceiling volume with integrated recessed lighting features pops of accent lighting that create an ambient glow.
The statement center island features an elevated trough for seasonal plantings with a dynamic Luke Lamp tracer bar light fixture complements the linear aesthetic of the LEICHT cabinetry, adding artful impact. Architecturally integrated bunk beds create a destination within the guest house — bold black ladders create an easy access transition from the bunks, which are each outfitted with charging stations and reading nooks.
With architecture as a backdrop for living™ and interiors as an inspiration for lifestyle™ Blue Heron Guest House is a celebrated space to unwind and connect.
