Casa Espejo is a unique contemporary home in downtown Merida, built on a challenging city lot of less then 3 meters in front. Designed by Merida Office of Design & Architecture (MoDA) with space savings in mind, the home maintains a spacious airy feel despite its compact size. The facade of metal and glass, literally reflects the surrounding neighborhood and is integrated into the design of the home. The living area is separated from the kitchen and eat-in dining area by an atrium that allows plenty of light and airflow. The interior courtyard, with a refreshing pool, leads to a flex space (office / studio) and a private master bedroom with en suite bathroom in the rear which steps out to a refreshing pool. An additional bathroom for guests also has direct access from the pool. Despite its small size of 77 m2 of living space, it's functional design makes if feel much larger.
