After 40 years of use this house with office in De Moer needed a makeover. The roof needed to be replaced because of asbestos corrugated sheets. The steel windows were unisolated and filled with double glass which was leeking. To meet the requirements of 2022 an energylable C is mandatory. In 2030 a energy lable A is required.

A perferct moment to make a sustainable renovation. At first we research a replacement of all windows by isolated aluminium windows. This proofed a expensive option, also due to restoration on the inside. This way the idea was created to keep the current steel window frames. This circulair idee led to an upgrade trough a redesign of the originel Jansen profile. ReUse of the excisting window frame. In cooperation with Jansen the details were made. Thus providing a solution for triple glass and frame which was applicable for subsidy. Not only is this a big step for circulair steel window frames it is also a big step in the energy transition.
