I'm a sucker for a Dining room dripping with traditional details!
I'm a sucker for a Dining room dripping with traditional details!
Looking from the Dining room, through the Foyer, and into the study. A very traditional, southern feel in these rooms, with a touch of modern.
Dining room with paneled walls and crystal chandelier. Foyer with custom painted wood floor, antique French crystal sconces, and an heirloom table from my Grandparents. Study with fireplace, crystal orb chandelier and a built in bourbon bar. (Still waiting on some furniture, décor and rugs in these photos)

After remodeling a couple together, we designed, built, and moved again and again. This is our third custom build that we completely designed the floor plan, exterior, and every single detail from the ground up. As a Designer, it's somewhat of an occupational hazard... You see all the things, you experience design options through different clients constantly, and your home tends to become more of a project, than a long term "forever home." Being a woman designer, with a lot of construction experience, it is a challenge sometimes to be "in a man's world" and contract out your own home, but I'm always up for a challenge! I jokingly tell my husband that I really outdid myself on this house, but it didn't come without a lot of stress, sleepless nights, and a lot of my own blood, sweat and tears! There are still lot of loose ends, little details, and décor to finish up, but for only moving in a couple months ago- we have come a long way!
