Beautiful Edward Durrell stone house completely remodeled , first by builder then by a former ceo of a large retail company (added additional 2500sqft) lastly remodeled by the Rose family from Fayetteville Arkansas. We bought the 6 bedroom 6 bath 8494 sqft house in Jan 2021 during the pandemic. The house had sat on the market for almost a year after the previous owners had moved out of the country for work. When we first looked at the house it was daunting the massive layout as well as the starkness. But the original features were there and beautifully remodeled. We moved in and immediately started work on the exterior removing a huge barrier brick wall that was covering the front of the house , next we built a pool and decks out back. We added beautiful landscaping to make it feel soft and inviting. Next we set our sights on the interior… renovating the bathrooms , kitchen area as well finding purpose and creating a flow adding a warmth to the house that was missing. In such a large footprint the key was to make it feel cozy and lived in. I think we did just that. It truly feels like a house in the Hollywood hills, but right in the middle of our beautiful college town Fayetteville Arkansas. It’s truly a beautiful place to live. We hope you enjoy the photos.
