Geome/haus is a meticulously crafted apartment that redefines how we view geometry in design. Instead of adhering to conventional shapes and straight lines, this home explores the full spectrum of geometric possibilities, combining curves, patterns, planes, and three-dimensional elements in an elegant and playful manner. The project embodies a balance of artistry and utility, making it a perfect blend of modern sophistication and creative expression.
As you step into the apartment, the living room immediately establishes an inviting tone with its earthy, neutral palette, offering a subtle backdrop for vibrant accents found in the art, furniture, and rugs. However, the true showstopper is the striking circular stretch ceiling with a skylight, which captivates with its ability to transform the room's atmosphere. The adjustable lighting shifts from crisp white to warm ambient tones, creating a dynamic interplay of light and form. This ever-changing quality adds a refined yet vibrant character to the space, making it feel both elegant and full of life.
The kitchen and dining area seamlessly merge into a striking space: a sleek charcoal black kitchen contrasts with a pristine white countertop, exuding understated grandeur. The central island, sculptural in form, stands as a focal point, while a window connecting the kitchen to the dining area serves a dual purpose, framing the anticipation of meals to come. The space is a geometric dream, with tan-hued "Veev" chairs harmonizing with a bold black-and-white striped rug, and a dining table supported by bold cylindrical legs. A fluted glass crockery unit, cylindrical in shape, embodies simplicity and elegance, adding functional beauty to the space. The design reflects the home’s overarching commitment to shape and form, seamlessly blending aesthetic appeal with purpose.
This organic affinity carries through into the bedroom, where earthy tones create a warm, inviting atmosphere. The CNC-cut wall designs behind the headboard add to the spatial experience, mirroring the intricate patterns found on the wardrobe shutters. The wardrobe itself features repeated half-inverted oval arches, enhancing the room’s cohesive design language. Grey marble floors anchor the space with calm sophistication, contributing to an overall sense of peaceful serenity. The result is a cocoon of understated luxury, where form and function blend effortlessly, crafting an environment that feels both tranquil and refined.
To the right of the central living area is the daughter’s bedroom, a whimsical space that feels as though it’s been plucked from a young girl’s dreamscape. Soft, meandering curves flow across the walls, with some sections padded to form a headboard that seamlessly integrates with the wall panelling. The pink tones are gentle and soothing, evoking a sense of playful elegance, more like a soft whisper than a bold statement.
The curving lines extend to the study area, where the same soft pinks create a calming backdrop, sparking quiet, creative energy. Even the spherical wardrobe handles align with the room’s cohesive design, adding a thoughtful touch of detail. Twin beds, designed to combine into one expansive unit, complete the space, making it a cosy haven of comfort and creativity.
On the other hand, son's bedroom is bold and dynamic, with primary colours like red, blue, and white playing around with grey marble and wood accents. The geometric headboard and bracket-style wardrobe handles enhance the room’s sculptural quality, while the grey lime-washed walls lend the space a timeless feel.
The AV room, which doubles as a guest bedroom, is characterized by a vibrant green colour palette. A wavy bookshelf introduces a sense of rhythm and movement, while a Murphy bed hidden behind the wall panelling ensures that the space remains clutter-free and adaptable. The clever use of design here highlights how form and function can coexist seamlessly, turning practical solutions into aesthetic statements.
Geome/haus presents an extraordinary exploration of materials, combining the richness of marbles, woods, and fabrics to craft a geometric narrative. The design plays with textures and patterns, using contrasting elements to create a visual symphony. From the sleek black-and-white set-up at the dining table to the delicate brass accents subtly marking the living room, each material speaks volumes about the meticulous attention to detail and the pursuit of design excellence.
It is not merely a residence; it is a celebration of spatial intelligence, where geometry transcends its conventional role and becomes an artistic expression. The design embodies an innovative approach, where every room is a canvas, telling its own unique story. Shapes and forms intertwine, pushing the boundaries of traditional interiors and evoking a sense of fluidity and playfulness.
The apartment’s geometric concepts are not just aesthetic choices but are transformed into a living experience. Sharp angles contrast with soft curves, while clean lines harmonize with intricate details, creating a dynamic yet balanced environment. The use of geometry adds depth and dimension, making each space feel grounded yet full of life. The result is a home that feels both modern and timeless, where design meets artistry to create a space that is as functional as it is inspiring.
Geome/haus encapsulates the idea that design is more than just form and function – it's about creating an immersive environment that reflects personality, creativity, and a deep understanding of space.
