The Ginjan Café is a cafe in East Harlem, New York City, opened in Summer 2019. The space is the flagship expression of Ginjan beverage and a new local spot for an underserved area.

The Brand was founded by two brothers from Guinea, West Africa and so the inspiration was definitively African – removed from the stereotypes – fused with a modern expression of what a premium coffee shop is in modern day New York. It is as much a celebration of African heritage, culture and aesthetic as it is capturing the flavor and soul of Harlem and New York City.

Custom designed wallpaper adorn the entire space with custom statement graphics finding place behind the main serving counter. Surfaces are clean, unobstructed by unnecessary decoration or distracting and clashing art or cultural ephemera.

The Furniture was all custom made from reclaimed wood with the help of furniture artisans located in White Plains, NY.

The café is the anchor tenant in the historic renovated Corn Exchange Building.
