The clients love to cook so they were looking for a better layout, more counter space, and an updated look. The large window was turned into french doors that open onto the courtyard and the old door was blocked off to allow the cabinets to extend to the wall. The shaker style cabinetry is made from rift cut walnut and the countertops are wide plank maple butcher block. The shelves are quartz with a marbled look and held up by custom fabricated steel straps. The island incorporates steel, maple, and a unique marble slab to tie all of the elements together.
