Laguna Beach

- Laguna beach residence was a complete sustainable eco friendly remodel using a universal and innovative approach.
Inspired by nature and my clients love for a healthy lifestyle, I wanted to create a sanctuary home where they feel comfortable in a toxic free environment.
We used energy efficient solar panels, natural and LED lighting, elevated entrance for wheelchair accessibility along with the lift. The original u shape floor plan was redesigned making more clear directional layouts accessible for an age related and other impairments.
My design intention was to establish simplicity in the space with very powerful calming physical effect by consistently using the same natural materials throughout the house like marble stone in the kitchen and bathrooms along with white oak wood finishes on the floors and all the cabinets. All the cabinets, stone vanities and kitchen island were designed by Dina Marciano Design brand and fabricated in Italy.
Artistic white sculptures were designed by Dina Marciano as well. Their shape represents an Unalome spiritual Buddhist symbol meaning philosophy of human existence meaning the path we take in life toward enlightenment.

Laguna Beach project is very unique representing eco friendly design of simplicity in a profound timeless yet futuristic way where interior space along with natural light and architectural elements become an expression of tranquil art, physically impacting our wellbeing.
