Louver House, tucked away in Miami’s exclusive South of Fifth neighborhood, has recently opened its doors, introducing the community to a contemporary, high-design build. The property recently unveiled designs of its first and only model residence. The 2,088-square-foot residence was curated by Luxury Living, an Italian company that houses iconic home brands including Fendi/Casa, Bentley Home and Trussardi Home among others. The 3-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom home boasts floor-to-ceiling windows with two expansive terraces and namesake louvers.

Envisioned by famed architect and designer, Rene Gonzalez, the development is an ode to the neighborhood itself – known for its art deco and mid-century architecture, storied past and enveloping natural landscape of both lush vegetation and the Atlantic Ocean. To translate the area’s art deco aesthetic, Gonzalez emphasized horizontality, particularly at the building’s and the terrace balconies’ slab edges. Louver House’s design seamlessly blurs the line between indoor and outdoor living with open floor plans and garden courtyards. Gonzalez upheld the memory of the 1920s Belvedere Bungalow with an open, louvered bungalow in its same place to preserve the community’s history. This feature serves as the building’s entrance and lobby.

The property’s interior and exterior design draws from its proximity to both beach and urban living. The interiors boast state-of-the-art fixtures and features including Ornare kitchen cabinets, Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances, Electrolux washer and dryer, floating bathroom vanities and more. Each home has sprawling balconies covered in lush greenery and louvers that ensure privacy and shade without compromising views of the treelined streets. Some residences feature sliding doors that open as wide as 20 feet.

Pairing organic textures with sleek finishes and glass, Louver House’s aesthetic is an ode to the best parts of beachfront living and will bring residents closer to nature without leaving the comfort of their condo.
