From Yardzen

Yardzen worked with homeowners Kristy and Peter to design a yard that functioned year-round for their young family. Featuring a solar-heated saltwater plunge pool and cozy seating area centered around a vintage chiminea stove, the transformed backyard features plenty of space to enjoy throughout the seasons.

The design makes the most of a long and narrow backyard. Including a small pre-cast concrete plunge pool instead of a traditional in-ground pool allowed for more flexibility in layout, lower costs and upkeep and lower impact on the environment (less pool water!). The alternate side of the yard features an entertainment zone with comfortable seating, crunchy gravel underfoot and a midcentury stove that reflects the style of the 1960s rancher home.
