This project is 2 beds/1 bath, 1001 sf of bright, pure joy. The custom mural design took about four weeks, and an additional four months for the interiors to come together.

• This open-plan loft is located in Chicago's former South Water Market, a wholesale produce market lively in the early 20th century, and was recycled into condos in the early 2000s.
• Occupying a corner unit, its fortunate position is enveloped in floor-to-ceiling windows on two full sides!

• I was commissioned to design the tropical custom wallpaper, but I gifted it as a housewarming gift.

• The homeowner is my sister, who has her own terrific design aesthetic, and together, we collaborated on the rest of the interior design—and subsequently inspired the launch of a design partnership, Haus of Hengst.

• The trust and freedom permitted here to infuse color and life into this space catapulted it into my favorite project to date.
