Aside from new dark exterior paint color, minor reconfiguration of windows and doors, and the removal of a screened porch, were the only modifications to the exterior.

This project was the renovation of a mid-century modern home in Penn Valley, PA, located just outside of Philadelphia. When our wonderful clients found the home not in great shape but had lots of potential and is situated on a beautiful wooded lot. On the first floor, small dark rooms were opened to create connected, bright living spaces with large windows and skylights that flood every room with natural daylight and connect the home to the outdoors. Reconfiguration of the stair, and a complete reconsideration of the lower level allowed owners to create a new primary suite and effectively double the living space without adding to the footprint of the home.
