This Douglas fir timberframe home was built using authentic mortise and tenon techniques by Squamish-based British Columbia Timberframe Co. and is also the first in the Sea to Sky Corridor (Vancouver to Whistler, BC) to earn certification within the ENERGY STAR® New Home Initiative in Canada. The home was constructed with “passive home” principals to not only build an energy-efficient home, but to also leverage the most advanced construction technology available to home owners; off-site wall and roof panel system manufacturing. Custom windows soak in the natural light and give way to views of the Chief and various local mountain peaks and valleys; not only from the master bedroom, but also from the open floor concept that spans the kitchen, dining, living and modest art gallery.
