The Hawes Team at Compass and Lynne Somerville announced that they have been selected to exclusively market residential rentals and sales for The Corbin District, the transformational redevelopment of a large part of downtown Darien. Situated between Whole Foods Market and Darien’s Metro North Train Station, along the Boston Post Road, the Residences of The Corbin District include units with one bedroom, two bedrooms, and several larger two bedroom units which incorporate dens. Conceptualized by Baywater Properties and PG Properties, together with Beinfield Architecture, The Corbin District will re-shape Darien’s town center.

Sited on more than seven acres in the heart of downtown Darien, The Corbin District will incorporate a collection of gourmet restaurants, best-in-class retail stores, state-of-the-art exercise studios, Class A office spaces and 112 luxury residential apartments located within a total of eleven new buildings. This highly anticipated development will create a gorgeous setting with a new vision of in-town living in Darien.
The Residences of The Corbin District are a collection of generously scaled apartments and condominiums with bespoke finishes and luxurious amenities. Thoughtfully brought to life and form by Beinfield Architecture, the residences provide an abundance of natural light and floor plans that deftly create soothing spaces and bring the outdoors in.

The new town square will be defined by several outdoor public spaces including two new roads, Market Street and Penny Lane. Within these new public spaces, The Corbin District will host farmers markets, outdoor concerts, and other community gatherings. Residents and visitors will be able to enjoy curated events in a small-town community setting. In order to create a vibrant community, Baywater and PG Properties have carefully curated a selection of retailers, restaurateurs, and studios to occupy the commercial sector of the buildings.

● “We are both honored and excited to be a part of this amazing project and representing the Residences at The Corbin District. The Corbin District offers a luxurious option for sophisticated downtown living with everything at your doorstep – it's truly an
all-encompassing lifestyle. This is filling a void in our marketplace as the demand for downtown luxury housing has grown significantly.” said the listing agents, Holly and David Hawes.

● “What started as an idea and an introductory meeting with the developers by Holly and David Hawes in 2006 has culminated into much more than a new development. The Corbin District is the first of its kind in creating a new way-of-life for luxury downtown living in Darien,” said listing agent Lynne Somerville.

This announcement comes at a time where Connecticut residents are heavily investing in Condos and Co-ops. The Q1 Greater Connecticut Market Report found that Condo and Co-ops experienced a ten percent increase in median sales price over Q1 2021. This segment was especially strong in first time buyers and down-sizers.
