The Jackson is located on the main drag of North Park on 30th street. The project features a restoration of a Spanish Revival 5-plex built in 1931 which is nestled into the Southwest corner of the new mixed-use project. The intent for the design was to bring new life to this particular block through a combination of creative residential spaces that integrate seamlessly with over 5500 sf of commercial space to create a new vibrant community. By pushing the residential massing back 30' off the street frontage, the architecture creates a space for people to enjoy the commercial elements separately from the residential while also allowing for more sunlight to the lower portions of the building. The project was completed in Fall 2019 and exciting new commercial tenants include Juneshine, Dandelion Restaurant and Upstairs Circus. The project was designed by Micklish Studio and Stephen Dalton Architects.
