The Grand Hibernian Train is a lavish luxury train travel experience and the most recent creation from Belmond, the ultimate travel curator and connoisseur known for their range of iconic hotels, luxury trains, and river cruises. Featuring elegant, private cabins for up to 40 guests, the entire structure oozes style and sophistication both inside and out as it tours all the dramatic scenery that Ireland has to offer. The Grand Suites and Observation Car provide all the ambiance and character of a Dublin Saloon, allowing guests to mingle whilst they take in their stunning surroundings.

Leading British lighting manufacture Original BTC was commissioned to create all the interior lighting, including custom bespoke lights to line the train’s stunning cabins and communal areas. The lighting needed to be both robust enough to cope with the train’s movement as well as accommodate the close quarters of the passengers. Using a combination of hand-blown clear and opal glass paired with spun metals and quilted bone china, the outcome was a mix of modern luxury and traditional design.
