NSingle family residence designed for a young family with 2 kids. The house has 4 bedrooms, an office that can be converted in a 5th bedroom, a hidden room/playroom for the kids and 4 bathrooms. The house has a total of 3,448 sqft located in a up coming and central area of the city.
The family requested a modern farmhouse style, integrating the exterior with the interior of the house for entertaining and easy supervision of the kids when playing outside and with a transitional Interior design style. The result is a floor plan in a “L” shape where every room on the first floor has a view and/or access to the exterior patio and pool. A sophisticated open floor plan, with different ceiling heights and a lot natural light in the main area.
The primary bedroom and bathroom are on the first floor and the straight line and openness from the bathtub to the exterior of the house allows a pool to view all the way from the bathtub.
A big closet with separation for her and him and easy access to the laundry was part of the requirements as well.
The Kids bedroom is in the 2nd floor plan, with a fun hidden playroom for the kids’ toys and small laundry room for the kid’s independence. The 2nd floor also consists of a guest room with a private bathroom and a bonus room for the kids and guest entertainment.
Another aspect to consider and respect was a Heritage tree in front of the house. The house was placed to respects its roots and a front Porch was created to enjoy the view and the tree.
The interior selection was intentionally selected to mix a traditional material such as marble and light colors with transitional cabinetry styles and a contemporary detail such as lighting, accent tiles, and cabinetry handles. Some wood details were used, like shelves and beams to emphasize the farmhouse style.
