ABOUT US
I’m Alex and my husband’s name is Jon, the creators of our tiny home on wheels. We are a husband and wife team in Lynchburg, VA. While I had the vision for the home and design, Jon brought the vision to life. Our first tiny home endeavor was in 2016. We ditched a fancy wedding and decided to travel the U.S. for three months instead in our 19-foot renovated camper. This trip changed our life. At that point we were two college graduates with no idea what we wanted to do. This adventure sparked our love for freedom. When we came back from our trip I knew I would never want to work a 9-5 and be constrained to the walls of an office. Jon knew he wanted to create a business. Since 2016 our goals have aligned towards these dreams. Somewhere in between we bought a four-bedroom house and right away felt the constraints of such a big space. So we decided to rent out our 2,000 square-foot house and create our second tiny home on wheels. Two years later we are living the dream. Jon works as a real estate investor creating passive income for our future while I work virtually at my dream job as a health coach for an app in NYC. Now we live in our 240-square-foot space, which is perfect for our lifestyle!
OUR RENO
Our renovation has cost around 5k so far! Jon and I love a good deal. I found our camper on Craigslist with no pictures. I took the risk and had a friend drive five hours away to pick up this camper with no interior pictures for $3,000. This could have totally backfired but it ended up being the perfect fit! After that we spent about 2k on the remodel from the floors, paint, to the furniture. All this with the help of our amazing friends of course! It took us about six months total.
OUR STYLE
Our camper turned tiny home on wheels is a travel inspired dream turned reality. Our style is a reflection of our most joyful memories and creative moments while exploring the beautiful USA. It is an eclectic mixture of the desert and western color palette from Utah and Arizona with hints of indigo blue inspired by the glaciers of Montana and pops of foliage from the rainforests of Washington and Oregon. This is our favorite part of the camper to talk about! Our style has been a reflection of our heart and inspiration from our travels out west. Whenever we are chillin' in the camper sipping on a Moscow Mule with some Tycho on Spotify we are instantly transported to our favorite places and memories, one of them being in the Badlands camping in a Buffalo pasture. We hope our space sparks a deep desire in your heart to be inspired & explore your own unique creativity!
