The wool, cotton, and latex elements in the mattress are all 100% organic—and these materials are much healthier alternatives to polyurethane foams and chemical fire retardants. For those who prefer to skip animal products, Avocado also offers a vegan alternative which is made without wool.

The organic mattress market is relatively small, and prices can be steep, but at a starting price of $959, the Avocado mattress lies on the more affordable end of the spectrum.
