Mike and Jewlsy designed the furniture both to fit into the apartment and to work in any future home they may have. The sofa, for example, is designed to work as a corner sofa in its current location, but could also be split into two pieces in a different context.
The small stool in front of the storage wall was made using spare timber from the production of the dining table and chairs. The way the form is created from a single repeated element gives the stool its name: 'Riff'. "
No one wanted to alter the stairway, and kept its original design intact. New windows and a clever and sleek wood staircase highlight the private courtyard outside.
Designed by 25:8 Architecture, the high-flying addition provides a couple with an elevated lookout—and space to stretch their wings.
