That’s because we didn’t start Urban Outfitters to make sense on paper and we certainly never thought we’d be writing something like a brand bio. Hell, we don’t even have a logo.

Based in New York City, we are founded on the importance of understanding our clients lifestyle and how best to integrate their needs into the exterior environment. We seek to identify the unique character of every project, and design each space accordingly. We acknowledge the importance of a collaborative approach to design, and easily engage with our clients and other industry professionals. Our in-house installation team brings our designs to life, whilst ongoing attention by our horticulturalists ensure the gardens’ long-term success.

People for Urban Progress was founded by Michael Bricker and Maryanne O'Malley—two citizens that wanted to create a better urban experience in Indianapolis.

Simon is a former food editor and senior writer for Metro. After an eating tour that stretched from Ho Chi Minh City to Sansepolcro, Tuscany, he settled in London where he worked for Esquire and lived in a council flat two minutes’ walk from the Borough Market. He now freelances from Auckland for the likes of KiaOra (the Air New Zealand magazine), Monocle, Cuisine, Home New Zealand and Metro, where you’ll find columns on eating and drinking, as well as the occasional feature on topics as varied as bread and the politics of waste. His first book, Food Heroes, was published by Penguin in October 2012.
