In true mid-century fashion, a George Nelson Bubble Lamp is paired with an Eames Lounge by Charles and Ray Eames in a corner of the living room. The glass walls and mitered corner are original features of architect Saul Zaik’s 1956 design.

"We wanted to incorporate elements used in residential homes," Hollis says of the eclectic medley of accessories and furnishings in the space. "These would be items that you would collect over time. They don't exactly match, but they all work together—they create a relaxed casual environment while still elevating the interior and amenities to what you expect from a world-class luxury property."

Pilu by German designer Leoni Werle is a table and a floor lamp in one. An oddly shaped oak base allows the lamp to toggle between two positions. The connection between shade and base is jointed, allowing the beam to be directed downwards even with the lamp is in the angled position.

The Copper Table Lamp

Shine a Light Benshetrit’s table lamp, for the lighting and furniture company .MGX by Materialise uses QuaDror’s infinitely scalable geometry to create a honeycomb of 1,200 modules that fits over a metal base holding a 40-watt halogen bulb. The lamp, which arrives flat and expands, accordion-like, when lifted, is manufactured via selective laser sintering (SLS), a 3-D printing process that uses a laser to solidify layer upon layer of powdered resin particles. “When you buy the lamp, you get a disc with the file on it, so if it breaks, you can ‘reprint’ it,” Benshetrit says.

Trapeze Table Lamp by Peter Stathis “It’s an absolutely sculptural piece where the form and function are beautifully married. It’s a production piece by a company that Peter founded to produce this light. The joints are ball-and-socket, and theres a wire going between the different arms allowing for 360-degree movement. It’s so articulating and fluid, there’s an almost human-like feel to the way the limbs move on it. One of the few table lamps that can look good on the bedside table or as a desk lamp.”
